Tips To Overcome A Weight Loss Plateau.

If you've followed various weight loss tips and are still struggling to burn fat, try these tips to overcome a weight loss plateau and push you through to the next level. Take small steps by focussing on 1 week at a time to help form a long term habit.

1. Sleep More

Lack of sleep can increase cortisol levels and stress, resulting in fat build up around the midsection. Aim for quality sleep and at least 8 hours.

2.Monitor and Adjust Portions

If you have lost some weight already, you may need to adjust portions and focus more on nutritionally dense foods to fuel you through the day.

3.Switch up Your Workouts

You should switch up your workout routine at least every 4 weeks to continue seeing results. You can also increase the intensity of your workout, try HIIT or lift heavier weights.

4. Reduce Processed Foods

If you're still eating processed foods try increasing whole food, lean protein and fiber intake instead, by adding more meat, fish,veg and fruit to your meals. Both protein and fiber speed up the metabolism helping the body to burn more calories.

5.Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting has been shown to be effective for weight loss and may be worth trying if you've tried everything else.
